Torvik is King Anheg's chief huntsman. He is a blunt, grizzled man with enormously broad shoulders and often wore a bullhide shirt with metal plates sewn on it. Barak commended him as "knowing every boar in the forest by first name." Torvik explained boar hunting to Garion in the Pawn of Prophecy, and Torvik and his huntsmen were instrumental to rounding up the members of the Bear-Cult and shipping them to Ce'Nedra's army in Algaria in Enchanters' End Game.
Torvik also passively threatened Grodeg, the high priest of the Bear-Cult in Val Alorn, by standing behind Grodeg with a boarspear, inspiring Islena to ship Grodeg off as well.
