Chretienne is a rather intelligent, very large dark gray stallion that Zakath gives to Garion as a "kingly horse" and a regal animal. He was the pride of Zakath's stable in Cthol Murgos. Garion accepts Chretienne as a magnificent gift. Chretienne loved to run. Even Adara observed that Chretienne is a very good horse.
