Aldreas was the King of Elenia and the Father of Ehlana.
Aldreas was a weak king. He was under the control of Annias, the primate of Cimmura. Aldreas was going to marry his sister until Sparhawk's father forced him to marry Ehlana's mother.
Aldreas exiled Sparhawk to Rendor. His one redeeming act was to hide his ring in the shaft of his spear. His shade returned the ring to Sparhawk and informed him that only the Bheliom could cure Ehlana
